Duties and responsibilities: A 911 operator answers incoming calls which can be both emergency and non- emergency. The operators decide what services they are going to send which depends on how the situation is. This job is honestly very important because your deciding what to send to save a person.

Salary: $36,300 - $56,580

Education: 911 operators require a high school diploma or a GED. Employers provide specific training for all 911 operators. The training covers aspects of radio equipment and communication skills. This training takes about 3 to six months.

Reflection: This job has really interested me since i was a kid. I want to be the person to send help and hopefully save a person. To me that seems like a very important job.
